Circus Tværs

 

The Circus Tværs was a real speciality in 2002 since the circus performances always receive a warm welcome. The group is truly international with their members coming from such different countries as Lebanon, Thailand, the Netherlands and France. Their motto is: All different, all equal. With their performances they wish to promote people living together in happiness. Not only the inhabitants of Kecskemét, but also all the visitors to Csipero enjoyed the one-hour performance of the artistes, acrobats and jugglers.

Pentagon orchestra

 

This year the Danish program, a concert of symphony orchestra ‘Pentagon’ was rather unusual and very particular indeed. Established 10 years ago, Pentagon has been participating in several prestigious festivals in Europe. The 60 musicians played classical music and a piece from the musical ‘Miss Saigon’.

Estonia | Saue

Saue folk dance group

 

The city and the group have the same symbols: oak-leaf and acorn, highly frequent trees in the country. The group of more than 20 members indulged Kecskemét with a particular show, a dance to a Hungarian song adapted into Estonian.

2004 It is always a pleasure to welcome youngsters from towns that had already been represented at the Festival in previous years, this time Tallinn and Saue came with a combined group. The Saue Folk dance group performed Estonian, Finnish and Polish folk dances. They accompanied the pair dances and round dances with instrumental music.

The French choir brought joy to the main square’s audience during the day and enhanced their popularity by singing at the uptown ruins of the oldest local monastery in the evening.
